New York. 1862. In a few weeks Henry James is about to begin his studies at Harvard Law School. But despite his mother’s wishes, Henry doesn’t want to be a lawyer. He doesn’t even want to go to Harvard. He prefers to write, in the library, in his favorite chair. The problem is someone else wants to sit in the same spot at the table. What’s a writer to do when the one seat that’s been blessed by the writing gods has already been taken?
